I am elated to have the opportunity to serve on the board of Chasing Dreams. Fundamentally, I believe that all people are created in God’s image and, as such, are entitled to love, respect, honor, community, and support. Unfortunately, we live in a world where it seems none of those are guaranteed to anyone. When I see Chasing Dreams providing individuals with special needs and their families the opportunities and connections to ensure that they have their humanity and value dignified, how can I not be excited about being involved? How can I not be excited when I see the type of positive impact Chasing Dreams is having in people’s lives?
Ultimately, Chasing Dreams exists to help people, and so do I. I hope that as an organization we can continue to positively impact our world. I hope we continue to remind people that they are loved, to remind them that they are valuable and worthy of being treated well. I hope that we continue to remind them that they are not alone. I hope that we continue to create a community that celebrates each other’s accomplishments and, when necessary, carries each other’s burdens. I hope we continue to create a world that is more like it should be
